We are seeking a VP, Group Media Director to join our Los Angeles Mediahub team.
Mediahub is the rising star among media agencies in the US, and especially Los Angeles. In a few short years, we have secured premium clients like Netflix, Patrón, Twitch, Western Union, amongst others, and most recently won FOX Entertainment and FOX Sports. Contained within our walls are planning, buying, analytics, Search, Media Sciences, Social, Comms Planning and Creative teams, all working together to create the best work for our clients.
As we are building the FOX Entertainment and Sports teams, we are looking for an experienced VP, Group Media Director to run the FOX Sports division. The ideal candidate must have passion and expertise in Sport Marketing, and ideally also entertainment media, to be qualified to run the fast-pace account. This seasoned media professional should not only be intimately familiar with the required industry tools and practices, but also have a deep passion for entertainment, pop-culture and a creative approach to developing communications solutions. The VP, GMD will oversee and be fully responsible for the FOX Entertainment planning team and report directly to the SVP, GMD on the business.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Proven track-record for successfully running media teams for sports entertainment clients, and experience with the fast-pace, and demanding nature of sports businesses.
-Mastery of planning all entertainment-appropriate media channels, including TV/Video, OTT/MVPDs, display, mobile, print, OOH, audio, and paid social and a high level of comfort with specialty disciplines like Comms, Analytics, and , R&D (Creative) to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and highly integrated, best-in-class media recommendations.
-Nurturing leader and strong team-player with deep knowledge of operational disciplines like reporting, trafficking, and billing to deliver the highest quality executions and flawless operations.
- Experience with being a frequent client point-of contact and ability to handle last minute requests and a high volume of briefs simultaneously.
- Thought-leader when it comes to getting the best from media-vendors, including brokering large deals and challenging the status quo for our clients by delivering first-to-market ideas and finding work-arounds some of the restrictions entertainment brands usually face.
- Show a keen interest and passion for emerging trends across the media landscape.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 10 years of media planning/buying experience.
