We are looking for a Junior Layout Artist or Layout Artist to join our New York City Creative Services team.
A well-qualified Junior Layout Artist or Layout Artist must have an impeccable attitude and be completely approachable at all times. They must have a decent design-eye, great Photoshop skill, the ability to pay close attention to detail and handle a few overlapping projects at the same time. This is a fast-paced position, especially when clients and new business presentations are active. Creative teams will rely on your unwavering support through the presentation stages of a project. Most of the work will be image related, but maintenance of a presentation deck will be needed as well.
The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver. They will be working directly with art directors and designers to bring their ideas to life using whatever graphic program it takes to get the job done efficiently and effectively. Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (especially lnDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) is imperative. But working knowledge of other programs like AfterEffects, Cinema 4D and Skecthup-basically whatever program it takes to make an image/idea look good-would be awesome to have.
Other tasks include:
- Provide art direction/design support to all agency departments when needed.
- Large format output, trimming and installing.
- General studio tasks (scanning, image searches, etc.).
- Possibly some mechanical building/production tasks.
- Degree in Graphic Design with 1-3 years experience as a Studio Artist/Designer, Presentation Designer in an advertising agency setting
