We are seeking a Assistant Media Buyer to join our Boston Mediahub team.
Mediahub is one the hottest and fastest growing media shops in the U.S. and was just named Ad Age's 2019 Media Agency of the Year. This is coming off the heels of being named a leader in Forrester's first ever wave of major media shops and in 2018 we were Adweek's U.S. Media Agency of the Year.
The Assistant Media Buyer candidate needs to have an eye for detail, aptitude for analysis, and the ability to work with a team as well as individually. Endless curiosity and a positive attitude are also musts. They should be able to perform multiple tasks correctly and efficiently while meeting time-sensitive deadlines. Responsibilities will include invoice maintenance, assisting Negotiators, Supervisors & Managers as assigned, entering programming and buys in Media Ocean OX, projecting TV and Radio ratings for future buys, pulling local market research and tracking delivery of steaming audio and video investments. They should be comfortable speaking to and negotiating with TV and Radio station representatives.
She/he must be a creative thinker, incorporating the latest media trends and innovations, including streaming audio and online video. Candidate should exhibit a can-do attitude to tackle all assignments; be a creative problem solver that participates and takes interest in both agency and industry. It's imperative to follow technology; creative work to stay on top of pertinent information and trends. He/she will be required to attend sessions of formal media training and other programs as directed by his/her supervisor. They will develop an understanding of the role of his/her department within the agency and show commitment to personal and professional growth.
- Four-year degree required.
- Previous agency or marketing communications internships strongly preferred, ideally in media.
