But the need to spread the word and elicit action is just as great. For American Diabetes Month, Mullen focused on social efforts, creating a dynamic Facebook-based mosaic, where people could post photos and tell stories of what a typical day with diabetes means to them. For the month, Facebook likes increased by over 150,000.
